COVID-19 may affect you more than you think…

The signs popping up all over suggesting the social distancing of 6 feet didn’t bother me. The occasional person wearing a mask wasn’t alarming. The closures of schools I gave a nod. Made sense. I could understand the rationale behind keeping the little germ magnets at home to prevent the spread. The request for people to stay home was met with a shrug. We were told to “self-isolate” and “save lives”. I literally made half a dozen memes based on that concept alone. But then things started changing. Things keep being added. All under the guise of being “safe” and “saving lives”.

So, where we were once told it was perfectly ok to go for walks, hike the trails, etc. as long as we were not sick and were keeping our distance, suddenly the parks and trails were closed, some businesses were shut down, and I began reading about “orders” being given.

The governors in Illinois and Connecticut both announced on Friday that they were closing down “non-essential” businesses in their States and were ordering their residents to stay in their homes. Failure to comply punishable by law? That caught my attention.

Here’s why…

America is a nation founded on rebellion. From the very start, our founding fathers literally REJECTED everything they possibly could of anything relating to the Crown. If it wore a red coat, they shot it. Our government, our forms of measurement, what side of the road we drive on, our engineering, how we dress, even how we speak the Kings English, isn’t the Kings. We are a rebellious nation. Descendants of a rebellious people. People that literally held up a proverbial middle finger to the rest of the world. Americans today have the same attitude. While some drone on and on about how we need to join the global community, most Americans have no interest in doing that and we simply don’t care what other countries think. We want to be different. We don’t want to “fit in”. So while the rest of the world sits in wonder, unable to quite grasp the concept, Americans just go about doing their own thing. For that, we’re called “arrogant”. Because, who are we to have an expectation or to demand performance? Rebellion is in our DNA.

John Galt

I’m saying this, because when speaking of a One World Government, the USA is a big problem. One, that to be addressed properly, would need to be humbled a bit.

How do you stop the motor of the world?

This virus creates the perfect platform for that. Early on I had been approached by skeptics in regards to its spread and death rate. My response from the beginning was, it doesn’t matter. It could be a totally made up hoax. How they’ve responded to it, that’s the juice. And it would seem that we have one hell of a power play going on right now. Big time.

They tell businesses they can’t open for business and then I hear talk of how Capitalism has failed? That’s not a failure of Capitalism. The government shutting down a business against the will of its owner is an act of Socialism.

Our President just issued a 2 trillion dollar Corona stimulus and it’s being referred to as Socialism? Show me a country with an Socialist economy that has the ability to provide its citizens with a 2 trillion dollar “stimulus”. That stimulus is being funded by the Free Market. That is the power of a Capitalist Economy.

We got governors ordering people to stay in their homes and threatening business owners that don’t comply to a permanent shut down of their business? I don’t think it’s necessarily a smart business decision, but if a restaurant owner wants to remain open and sit there in their business looking at empty seats in their dining area, that’s their business.

So, WHAT IN THE HELL.

John Galt

But how do you argue it? It’s in an effort to save lives, right? So the more you resist, the more you disregard the “order”, the more the enforcement bar gets raised, right? That’s the natural progression. Don’t follow social distancing, then you suffer the social demonizing that comes with the narrative. When does the Federal order come, huh? How many Americans have to give the order to stay home, the middle finger, before the government, OUR government, that was founded on rebellion, gives us all the smack down for rebelling?

And you say, well, you ignore the order, you get the virus and maybe you die. Yeah? Maybe some of us are willing to take that chance? Maybe some aren’t afraid of death? Maybe the ones that want to stay home should stay home and the ones that want to go out and risk death should be able to go out?

John Galt

Are we the America we were founded on or not? Are we the people BORN OF REBELLION, FREE to make our own choices, our OWN decisions, or not? Do we want to be like Europe? Do we want to “fit in” with the rest of the world; or do we simply not give a damn what they think.

I don’t know if this virus is all they say it is or what. I don’t know. And truthfully, I really don’t care. What I see is, I see a different America after this. I see new laws, new rules, new regulations, and a new way of life that I’m not totally sure I’m all that keen on.

John Galt

So you ask me, what I think? I think virus or not, EVERY Governor, President, or elected official that has forgotten who we are as a people, as a Nation, should be reminded. And it should be up close and personal. Call it rude, call it red neck, call it disrespectful, I’m sure I don’t care. But don’t EVEN roll up in your Humvee and attempt to tell ME what ta do, ’cause I’ll give you an education on the American Way.
