The CDC will no longer be printing the COVID-19 vaccination cards. According to this recent article by the AP, ” Federal and local health officials don’t expect the discontinuation of the cards to be a particularly big change, since the days of keeping them tucked in purses and wallets to ensure entry into festivals, bars and restaurants are largely over.”

Which is good, IMO. The methods used to “protect” the public during the COVID pandemic was nothing short of abysmal. The way the information was delivered, the amount of fear displayed, the ridiculousness of the ineffective mandates, how we treated each other, etc.

What a frickin joke.

“It’s just the flu!”

Correct. It was a different strain of the influenzas virus. The very same virus that caused the Spanish Flu pandemic in 1918.

“That’s not true, it wasn’t the same!”

It was a variation of the influenza virus. One of possibly a billion variations that haven’t been seen or discovered yet.

“Well I have a good immune system and I eat healthy!”

Yes, and your healthy immune system will no doubt actively work to create the fighter cells needed to combat the new virus. But there is no guarantee that it will create those cells in time to prevent your death. (If only there was a way to shorten that process or give people the needed cells to fight a virus in advance?)

“Well I don’t trust vaccines…”

Understood. You have very good reason to be skeptical of the current process used to produce vaccines. It is an industry ripe for abuse due to the massive incentives made readily available to make a shit ton of cash without any effective accountability. (But does that mean the concept itself is flawed? Nope. Think of a vaccine like a condom…you’d use one of those wouldn’t you?)

So what do we do? Well, we start by acknowledging the obvious. Yes, it was the flu and it could be a flu that kills you. Afterall, hundreds of thousands of people die each year from the flu. Your immune system, if up to par, still requires time to adapt and create the fighters needed to combat a new virus. For some people that process just doesn’t happen. Acknowledge that.

If you want to remove yourself from the “guidelines” and “mandates” that you deem as stupid, then by extension you have to not actually behave stupid.

Yes, They are concerned about the flu. And rightfully so. The variations of flu viruses is fucked. It’s probably not going to be some Ebola, bleeding out every orifice virus that kills you during a global pandemic. It’ll probably just be the flu.

So the next time we have one of these lame pandemics, and yes of course there will be another one, (It’s the flu, remember? Billions of variations. None of which your stellar immune system has created an immunity for yet.) how about we be the beacons of truth?…Cause God knows the media or our elected officials aren’t gonna be!

***If anything was achieved during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was the massive amount of real time data that governments were able to accumulate. A massive amount of data that they can use to update their simulations with real life timelines to update their response times, clinic trials, adequacy of our health systems. It’s also been quite the wake up call for people that have been all too content to sit back and wait for their government to take care of them. Sometimes blind trust in the government is a bad idea.

****We also saw how dumb ideas and dumb concepts were accepted and perpetuated. Remember when the N95 mask was only thing that actually stopped the spread of the Covid19 virus? And then when people couldn’t get them the recommendation switched to “Any covering” would help slow the spread? Y e a h…..So you got your N95 mask now, right? You got one, set aside, so you’re not scrambling to buy one at an inflated cost during the next outbreak? And how about next time we don’t sell all our shit or rack up massive credit card debt, aye? You may live thru it….again!
