I was sent the link to this movie a few months ago. People wondering what I thought of it. I watched it; then after realizing why it was sent to me, I watched it again and took notes. Realizing that literally everything I said about this movie would be met with scrutiny, I did what most writers would do: I tabled it. What you’ll find below are my thoughts on the movie, as I watched it.
Disclaimer: What you are about to read may challenge your worldview, the religion you follow, how you view yourself, and may leave you with a strong pit in your stomach, prompting you to scramble to read all sorts of biblical texts and research how old the earth is; looking for that “ah ha!” moment. So please, if you continue reading, good on ya…brave, so brave…but please spare me the results of your findings. Chances are, I’ve read or watched it already. Thx!
PART I
The movie starts out with a history of “the gods”; focusing on Horus, 3000BC. Numerous gods, different names, all with similar stories to the Christ. Predicted by a star, born of a virgin, wise men came, etc Blah blah blah.
(So wait…for literally centuries people have been speaking of a child born of a virgin, predicted by a star? That’s odd. What’s so special about that story? What an uninteresting bland story to simply pass down from generation to generation, let alone pledge a life to; but alright then.)
Movie claims that Christ is a fabricated Roman story. (That’s interesting…considering the Advent of Christ really jacked Rome’s shit up and there are actually some historians that believe Christianity is responsible for the fall of Rome. So these dipshit Romans invented the Christ story essentially creating their own demise? Clever.)
15 Centuries of gods are laid out all with the same or similar stories to the Christ. (The implication being that the story of Christ is just a “story” too….only, they have to use the date descriptions of A.D. and B.C. to provide the timelines of the other gods, because you know, saying that they use the life of Christ to determine the timeline of the other gods would be stupid. I mean…why not before Horus and after Horus? He was the first god right? What made Christ so special that we use His life to mark dates?)
Ah, the point of suffering thru this beginning is to say: Religion is used by the government to control people. (Why? Because the governments lack power and force? Are the governments filled with stupid people who lack the ability to coerce, manipulate or intimidate people without the use of a fictional god? Why create a fictional god that offers benevolence to followers when they have access to the power of an all seeing, all knowing, benevolent government State to swear allegiance to? Pro tip: Governments don’t need a god to control you! Google: Chairman Mao, Joseph Stalin, Hitl….ah, you know where I’m going with this. In short, a government choosing a fake god and religion to control its people is difficult and stupid. Really dumb considering people started telling these fake stories over 15 centuries ago before any real formal governments were even established. There ARE much more efficient ways to control people.)
PART II
911 was fake. Total conspiracy. Seven of the 19 hijackers are still alive. Bush and Bin Laden are in bed together. Jet fuel doesn’t burn steel. Building 7 was a controlled demolition. War game exercises were going on the same day as the 911 attacks. London train attacks happened while exercises of anti-terrorism were taking place.
All of that, to say: The government uses fear, propaganda, and wars to control you. (I can’t trust the government. Got it…suddenly I felt WOKE…)
PART III
The people behind the curtain: The Banks. Banking system = Debt Slavery. The run on the banks in 1907 was orchestrated to create the Federal Reserve. The 1929 Stock Market crash was orchestrated. 1933 the gold standard was abolished. Federal Income tax is UnConstitutional. War is profitable. Wars are orchestrated for money, etc.
(Wow…just wow.)
The message of the whole movie being: We are being lied to and manipulated for oil and profit. To create and maintain empires. The less educated you are the easier you are to control. “WAKE UP!”, do your own thinking. (Except…when it comes to what you’re being told in this movie. Then you shouldn’t question it; you should just listen.)
Entertainment is all a distraction to keep you distracted. Capitalism is evil. (While you watch a movie designed to capture and maintain your interest while being promoted on social media platforms using Capitalism as its method of distribution and revenue.)
The movie continues: “To chip the world”, “incredibly powerful beings”, “We’re all ONE”, “New consciousness”, “Single organism”, etc. Then it ends, and guess what the ending message is? LOVE.
LOVE! The message of CHRIST! The Christ, the one they spent the better part of the first half of the movie attempting to claim is fake; nothing but a made up story to control you. They end their movie with the message of Christ. (You seriously can’t make this shit up.)
_______________________________________
Okay…so here’s the thing. I know when this was sent to me it is the beginning of the movie that people were most interested in my thoughts on. And oddly enough, when I tried to research the “debunking” of this movie it is the main part in which people tend to focus on. In fact, most of the CLEAR conspiracy theories in this movie aren’t even addressed by some; they all focus on whether or not what is said about Christ is accurate.
So, I’m just going to touch on that too. And…I kinda don’t care enough about it to do all the research for ya. Sorry! So, if you’re having a spiritual crisis, go find a pastor. I’m just going to tell you what I think.
NOTHING that was talked about in the beginning of this movie is “new”. Nothing. People have literally addressed all of these claims and questions. People have been answering them…for Centuries. Sadly, most people watching this movie that are surprised by the information in the beginning are also the ones not bright enough to seek out the counter arguments and will take what is being said as gospel. But I gotta say, given how conspiracy theory the rest of the movie goes, why wouldn’t you question the presented “facts” of the beginning?
Not once, in all the time this movie spent comparing similarities of the gods to Christ, did it bother to lay out the differences. Not once. And that’s kind of a thing. Cause there are some massive differences. A few of them being, there is actual historical proof that Christ existed. Jesus was a flesh and blood man that walked the earth. Jesus was the only one that claimed to be the Son of God. Jesus was also the only one that didn’t require a sacrifice; He was the sacrifice. The advent of the Christ literally CHANGED THE GLOBE. Prior to Christ the world was a total shithole that was taken through conquest. That fact is one of the many reasons the Romans succeeded so well. Then Christ shows up and suddenly people are turning the other cheek, and love those who persecute you, etc. The Romans wanted nothing to do with Christ and they had no idea Christianity would ever be a thing. Historians have studied these things, researched these things, written books about these things, discussed these things for centuries.
I told a man one time that there was more proof that Christ existed than there was or ever would be of him existing. He was not only shocked by my statement but he immediately flustered out a list, ranting about how he had a Social Security number, tax returns, numerous eye witnesses, pictures and documents, etc that prove he exists. I looked directly at him, attempting not to laugh, and said…”So you’re saying we have no proof of the billions of people that were on this planet prior to those things existing?” Needless to say, he remained pissed by my reply as he walked away.
With the push of a button most peoples fart of a life would disappear and no one would ever know they existed on this planet 200 years from now; let alone have any remnants of it 2,000 years from now…but I’d wager they’ll still be talking about Christ.
The producers implications about faith are laughable. Listen to me, no one, and I mean NO ONE has faith or follows a religion because they are being duped. That is quite possibly the dumbest conclusion I’ve ever heard. People have faith and follow religions because whatever they are practicing passes their own internal form of questioning and it makes sense to them. Every “believer” has questioned. The length and depth of that questioning is the only thing that varies. Not to mention, having faith and a religion to follow is found in the history of E V E R Y culture on the planet. Every one. There is an inherent need within people to seek out something greater than themselves. It has been so since the beginning of time. To even suggest that it’s all just a ruse played on ignorant and gullible people is nothing more than pure arrogance.
Because that’s all it is: Arrogance or Ignorance. Those are the only two reasons why people dismiss, laugh at, or deny Jesus Christ. You can offer arguments against His “followers” and I’d probably be there right along with you; but ta dismiss or laugh at Christ? That’s arrogant or ignorant talk there.
For the arrogant, eh, I got nothin for you. I simply don’t care. Nothing I say will alter your view because your view is clouded with YOU. Over 2,000 years of people on this planet that have investigated, researched, studied, scrutinized, found faith, believed in the Bible, the Christ, and countless other religions, but they all have it wrong. It’s all fake and made up, because YOU and your brilliant brain that’s been on this planet less than a hundred years has it all figured out. You’re Special. Awesome. So, enjoy YOU and toss off.
For the ignorant, I’ll say this, don’t scoff at or dismiss shit that you know nothing about. If a movie as WEAK as this causes you to question the validity of the Christ, then you ARE quite ignorant. In which, I’d offer you a great starting book ta read. I say starting book because if you want to dig deeper into the subject of Jesus Christ you can; and this book will definitely point you in the right direction. It’s called, The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. That book lays out numerous questions that many people have posed for decades and answers them. It also cites numerous sources and numerous other books to read. So, if you’re truly looking, you’ll find some answers there; and quite possibly avoid being duped so easily by people lining their pockets off of your ignorance.
Now for me…I have chewed through most of these things years ago. Like I’ve said before, I was a “Pastors Kid”. So my background when it comes to concepts like faith, belief, and religion, were a thing growing up. But, like most kids, I’ve always been one to challenge. So I did, I have, and still do challenge. I came to my faith on my own. Nothing my old man ever said or did would have ever swayed me. I have read books, studied, researched, spent many a long night down the proverbial rabbit hole on this subject. And I gotta say…nothing I ever read in the bible or otherwise in regards to “how old the earth really is” had any part in the development or maintenance of my faith. What I’ve personally found is: All that shit is filler. Good ta know, but it doesn’t give you faith. It appeals to the intellect, for those who “gotta know”; but beyond that, it’s pointless and has no value.
What has value…what matters…what has given me my faith, strengthened my faith, my belief in Christ, has been the things in my life where He has had direct involvement. I’ve seen Him work in my life. Personal experiences that have reached to my core…confirmed to me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that there IS Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness, Salvation, Redemption, found in Christ. And maybe those things are somewhat of a foreign concept to you? Maybe grasping the level of what I’m saying when I use those words doesn’t make sense? But…you can’t find those things in just any book. No amount of reading and researching is going to logically allow your brain to acquire those…you have to experience them.
I could go on…but I won’t. Hope you enjoyed the read. Take care!…don’t message me. Thx!
